Marcus Ng (CHAIR)

Marcus is the founder and Managing Director of MNG Exhibition Pty Ltd. He has over 20 years of experience working with large international investments. He has worked with both public and private organisations to promote business and investment activities between China and Australia. As the China-Australia representative for a government-funded agency, the Regional Economic Development Corporation of Mackay and Whitsundays, Marcus promoted business activities between China and the region and built a sister-city relationship between Mackay and Yantai City, China. He brought a sizable property development group from Shandong Province, China to invest into a large property development project in Brisbane’s central business district and acted as Managing Director for the group in Australia. He also brought Australia’s largest property group to start up business in Beijing, China and acted as Head of China for the group.
Marcus holds an Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Southampton, UK and he is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants Australia.

James is a Technology and Innovation Leader working in the mobility and transport industry, a Business Intelligence Analyst, Consultant and Speaker who has held Senior roles in the ICT sector over the last 10 years. With a wealth of expertise in mobility and transport, innovation, technology and leading organisational transformation, James has been at the forefront of technology developments. James’s most recent work has been focused on developing and launching Australia’s 1st mobility and transport Innovation centre in Brisbane and working with government, legislators, and enterprise to engage industry to meet the future demands these emerging technologies create.

Vice President of UDIA Queensland
Chris is a Director and National leader of Place Design Group’s Planning Sector. Chris was awarded the Queensland Planner of the Year, and subsequently Australian Planner of the Year by the Planning Institute of Australia in 2014 and 2015.
He is best known for his pioneering work on the feasibility and commercial testing of planning schemes and planning policy work in Queensland and recently has focussed his strategic planning work on key issues such as housing affordability, infrastructure charges, technology in planning, and the future of cities.

Darrenn has held executive roles with major resource companies and associations in the Smart City arena. His new venture, 12Australia, focuses on brokering winning results for stakeholders in the events industry.
Darrenn began his events career managing Europe’s largest snowsports events at the age of 18. At the age of 23 Darrenn was already onto his second award winning start-up, this time focussed on international adventure events, travel and tourism.
Darrenn has worked all over the world and since moving to Australia has worked with Corporates, Not For Profit’s, Federal Government, State Government and Local Government.
